Find out how our delicious coffee is produced at our Royal Kona Visitor Center, Mill & Museum in Captain Cook, Hawaii.
And yes, there will be tasting! Lots of coffee samples, chocolate & cake.
Also, you will get to see where Kona coffee growers bring their coffee cherries to be processed.
This includes separating the bean from pulp (fruit), drying the “wet” coffee beans, grading coffee beans by size and packing coffee for shipment to our roasting facility in Oahu, Honolulu.
Coffee Drying in the Warm Tropical Air
After the coffee beans are hulled, they are set out to dry in the warm tropical air.
This photo overlooks one of our coffee drying areas – if you look closely you can see the racks of beans laid out on the floor to dry.
The scenery is absolutely gorgeous, isn’t it?! Our visitors love taking memorable photos here
The view at the treehouse is spectacular.
Many of our visitors are enchanted by the mango trees that grow near the treehouse. Especially when they’re ripe. Have you ever seen ripe mangoes on the tree? It’s amazing to see.
As you walk the grounds, you’ll understand why many of our visitors take the time to post reviews and give us a 5-star rating
